“GAP” Analysis
CBS sought a dedicated third party logistics provider that would significantly reduce the amount of time they were devoting to managing the supply chain thus enabling more focus towards design, manufacture & infrastructure. The additional support would also provide a catalyst for continuous improvement in various areas including I.T. SOP`s etc.
The previous supply chain solution was at best fragmented, & lacked logic. The service provision lacked focus resulting in costly & sub-standard service levels. 3PL presented a comprehensive ongoing support package coupled with a radical re-engineering of the previous solution.
One year on since transition, 3PL have been rewarded with a three-year contract as a direct result of its endeavours & contribution towards a successful supply chain transformation. 3PL are now responsible for managing the supply chain from port of origin right through to customer delivery / collection.

“Closing the Gap”
In administering our “seven step methodology” 3PL were able to clearly establish the supply chain gaps, identify root cause & instil robust solutions to address the issues.

- A Single site solution in the UK vs 2 sites serving UK & Europe respectively
- Avoidance of a “hub” approach thus removing costly internal movements
