The Role
As a fast-paced high growth fulfilment & distribution business our people are key to our success story. As a proven HR Generalist, you’ll be accountable for ensuring timely execution of key people initiatives, making recommending best practice process, responsible for HR compliance, onboarding and offboarding, whilst acting as a mentor to the current management team. In addition to being experienced and resourceful, you’ll be motivated to offer excellent support to employees at all levels, and in helping to shape a high performing work environment.
You’ll spend time on the following:
- Ensuring transactional HR processes are completed and controlled in line with best practice and GDPR.
- Working alongside the existing leadership team to deliver the organisations people related priorities.
- Identifying and developing, people initiatives, policies, and procedures.
- Being an established stakeholder, for our recruitment processes and talent attraction. For ensuring retention and conducting benchmarking both for pay and employee benefits.
- Mentoring managers about all aspects of HR, including absence management, employee performance and disciplinary procedures.
- Acting as a key stakeholder in relation to the processes related to the onboarding and offboarding employees, particularly induction.
- Working closely with our external HR support partner (Peninsula). Ensuring the confidential storage of all employment contract related documentation.
- Coordinating employee relations issues as they are reported and providing support and guidance to the management teams to ensure fairness, consistency, and compliance.
- Providing input with regard to training and development plans across teams.
- Utilising HR systems to analyse data and to report trends against specific HR metrics.
- Promoting engagement and wellbeing within the business.
- Installing employee surveys and creating action plans related to outcomes.
- Being a subject matter expert in relation to employment regulations and legislative updates.
- Actively supporting our “social calendar with “Fun” an essential component of our Company.
DNA.
You are our ideal candidate if you:
- Hold a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Generalist HR role, with 2+ years at HR Coordinator or above.
- CIPD level 5 qualification highly desirable.
- Competent both numerically grammatically with good attention to detail.
- Approachable, trusted, flexible, integral, discreet, and credible.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Evidence relationship building skills and be an empathetic listener.
- Have the ability to work under own initiative and be both team and solution minded.
- To think logically, analyse, and interpret data to support initiatives.
- You pride yourself on your high attention to detail, organisation, and a mindset to complete what you have started.
- To keep a positive attitude and embody the values of 3PL.
- You will have experience of working in a fast paced, quickly changing environment. In the logistics industry would be advantageous but not essential.
