At 3PL, we’re continually developing our 3PL Fusion fulfilment platform around the day-to-day realities of managing a busy fulfilment operation. That means looking at the points where time can be lost, information can be difficult to find or manual processes can get in the way.
Our latest fulfilment software features bring more flexibility to how you manage orders and stock, as well as making important information more accessible when you need it. From proactive stock notifications to more intelligent bulk imports, these enhancements are designed to help you stay one step ahead.
Here’s what’s new…
Get ahead of low stock and approaching expiry dates
Running low on stock or discovering that products are approaching their expiry date too late can quickly create operational challenges. Fusion now helps you spot both before they become a problem.
With our new Shelf Life & Stock Level notifications, you can set the thresholds that make sense for your operation and receive an alert when stock needs attention. Different products can have their own thresholds where needed, giving you more control over SKUs with specific requirements.
For larger catalogues, settings can be configured in bulk, helping you get everything set up quickly.
Once enabled, Fusion continuously monitors your stock and provides:
- Live warnings within the platform and email notifications
- Configurable thresholds for stock levels and shelf life
- Product-specific settings for SKUs requiring special treatment
Import bulk orders in the format that works for you
Every business produces order data differently. Our new Order Template Builder allows you to import bulk orders without having to rework everything into Fusion’s standard spreadsheet.
You can create a template that maps the columns in your existing file to the order fields Fusion requires. For more complex imports, templates can do more than simply match one column to one field. You can:
- Combine multiple columns into a single field
- Set fallback values where data may be missing
- Apply simple conditional rules
- Save and reuse templates for future imports
A live preview shows exactly how the data will appear as you build the template, making it easier to spot and correct issues before an import creates problematic orders.
There’s also a companion Product Mapping tool, which can automatically translate your own SKU references into the relevant product codes in Fusion every time you import.
And for anyone who’s happy with the existing process, nothing changes – the original standard import template is still available.
See where every order came from at a glance
For businesses managing orders across multiple marketplaces and sales channels, identifying the source of an order can involve extra clicks or cross-checking with another system. The Orders table now makes that information much easier to see.
Each order displays the icon or logo of the sales channel it came from, along with the original order number from that channel, positioned alongside the Fusion order reference.
This makes it quicker to:
- Identify the source of an order
- Trace orders back to the relevant marketplace or channel
- Cross-reference customer queries
- Work more efficiently across multi-channel operations
It’s a simple change, but one that makes a busy order screen much easier to digest at a glance.
Clearer Amazon references on packing paperwork
For Amazon SSCC (Serial Shipping Container Code) orders, the Amazon barcode now appears directly on the paperwork used during packing and shipping.
The barcode has been added as a new column alongside the existing Amazon Reference on both the packing-list box information and the Pallet Report. This means warehouse teams now see the same reference from the labels on their paperwork, helping to streamline Amazon consignments and reduce the risk of mismatches.
View a product’s linked GRN in one place
Tracing the inbound history of a particular product is now quicker with a new GRN (Goods Received Note) tab within the product detail view, allowing you to see all the GRNs associated with a SKU in one place.
This makes it easier to find the relevant receipt records without having to search through individual GRNs, giving you a clearer view of when and where stock was received.
More flexibility with custom stock statuses
Fusion now supports custom stock statuses on a per-company basis, allowing you to request statuses that reflect the way your own operation works. For example, you may need a status such as “Asda” to identify stock specifically allocated to that customer.
Once your custom statuses have been set up, they become available as a dropdown when receiving stock. They can be applied across the create, edit and bulk GRN screens, with each receipt line assigned the appropriate status.
The chosen status is recorded when the stock is received and carries through to the receipt confirmation, helping ensure stock is categorised consistently from the moment it arrives.
Continuing to make fulfilment simpler
These latest enhancements all have a common goal: making important information easier to access, reducing unnecessary manual work and giving you more flexibility around the way Fusion fits your operation.
Whether that means being notified before stock becomes an issue, importing orders without reworking your files or tracing a product’s inbound history in a few clicks, the focus is on removing friction from everyday fulfilment tasks.
As Fusion continues to evolve, we’ll keep developing the platform to help alleviate the challenges you face as your business grows.
