Role Overview
Reporting into the Shift Supervisor you will be working alongside your warehouse colleagues you will lead by example in the core areas of quality and efficiency of work. A real team player you will support the Shift Supervisor in helping to meet daily shift targets. As the Operations Controller, you will be instrumental in supporting your shift management team in order to keep the warehouse operations running productively and in doing so provide our customers with the very best service. You will enjoy working on a variety of tasks, often having to use your own initiative. As a 3PL Operations Controller you will possess leadership qualities and be familiar with a fast-moving environment and have the ambition to develop and progress in your career.
Key Responsibilities
- Support shift manager supervisor in driving company H&S standards.
- Be able to facilitate effective and efficient operational workflow.
- Possess a proven understanding of WM Systems, Fusion, SNAP to super user level.
- Support shift supervisor in planning weekly / daily resource / activity plan against forecasts.
- Continually monitor operational progress against plan ensuring high standards of performance are achieved including GP / OWR performance.
- Support shift manager in implementing cost saving initiatives.
- Actively Monitor systems health check reports and effectively act on data.
- Carry out root cause analysis and provide constructive feedback.
- Assist in team development through instruction.
- Support the business in achieving SLA.
- Investigate and support closeout of all NCR’s and exceptions.
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
- Assist Removing blockages to facilitate GP / OWR performance.
- Identify and drive CI opportunities and remove efficiency blockers.
- Support Shift Manager in driving improvements and maintenance in Hygiene standards
