From cross-border delays to fast, flexible fulfilment: How 3PL helped Manukora reach more UK customers

Operating a multi-channel model, Manukora sells direct to consumers (D2C) via its eCommerce website alongside retail and marketplace channels, including Holland & Barrett and Amazon.

As the brand expanded into the UK, it required a fulfilment solution capable of supporting both D2C and B2B operations, as servicing the market directly from New Zealand was costly and resulted in longer delivery lead times.

To support its UK growth, several key requirements were identified. Delivery speed and vendor compliance were critical, alongside access to value-added services, such as kitting and rework, to ensure products met finished goods specifications across all channels.

As an experienced 3PL provider in the supplement and vitamin sector, we were selected to implement a tailored multi-channel fulfilment solution to improve speed, efficiency and retail readiness:

  • Strategic stock holding: Inventory stored in one of our quality-controlled UK warehouses, removing reliance on cross-border fulfilment.
  • Pre-retail support services: Flexible kitting and rework capabilities to ensure all products met retail compliance and finished goods specifications.
  • Full visibility and control: 3PL Fusion provides round-the-clock access to live operational data, giving Manukora full visibility and control despite the time difference between the UK and New Zealand. This ensures the team can stay informed and make decisions in real time, without delays caused by geography or operating hours.

Following implementation, Manukora has seen measurable improvements across operations and commercial performance:

  • 99% OTIF (On Time, In Full).
  • Reduced D2C delivery times from 5 days to next day.
  • Enabled entry into new sales channels, including Holland & Barrett and Healf.
  • Lower fulfilment costs by removing international shipping reliance.
  • Improved customer experience driven by faster, more reliable delivery performance.
  • Increasing demand across UK market supported by scalable fulfilment operations.

By establishing a reliable UK-based fulfilment operation, Manukora has enhanced customer experience, increased delivery accuracy and improved its ability to meet retailer requirements. This has enabled the brand to quickly stabilise operations and adapt to growing demand, with expansion into new retail channels on the cards.

With flexible fulfilment infrastructure and a strong partnership in place, Manukora is well positioned to grow its retail footprint, introduce new sales channels and scale order volumes without disruption – supported by a fulfilment solution designed to evolve alongside the brand.
