The business operates across multiple sales channels, including its own eCommerce website and retail distribution through partners, including Holland & Barrett. This model requires a flexible fulfilment approach, capable of managing both direct-to-consumer (D2C) orders and retail replenishment efficiently some of which are temperature sensitive.

As demand for its products increased in the UK, the USA business sought to improve delivery speed and reduce reliance on overseas fulfilment from its main distribution centre in the USA. Longer cross-border lead times were impacting customer expectations, particularly as demand for faster domestic delivery continued to rise.

Spectrum Supplements required a multi-channel fulfilment solution that could store stock closer to its UK customers while maintaining strict handling standards for health and food-grade products, including temperature control.

Working closely with the company’s logistics team, we implemented a multi-channel solution designed to improve speed, compliance and operational control:

  • UK-based stock holding: Inventory held in one of our UK fulfilment centres to remove reliance on international shipping and reduce delivery times.
  • Temperature-controlled and cool chain handling: Bespoke processes introduced for selected SKUs requiring controlled storage.
  • ISO 9001-accredited quality management system: Ensuring consistent handling standards for vitamins and nutritional supplements.
  • Specialist packing processes: Including protective packaging and cool packs to maintain product integrity.
  • Real-time visibility and traceability: 3PL Fusion provides live stock, order and performance data alongside full product lifecycle traceability, which is essential when handling and processing goods for human consumption.

This solution enabled Spectrum Supplements to transition from cross-border fulfilment to a fully scalable UK-based operation with seamless service delivery.
