How 3PL supported Ultimate Performance’s global fulfilment across four continents

Ultimate Performance's logo

Alongside its core personal training services, the business has expanded into eCommerce, offering a growing range of branded supplements, accessories and merchandise, both online and within its gyms worldwide.

As the brand scaled, so did the complexity of its logistics. Managing direct-to-consumer (D2C) orders alongside supplying gyms across multiple territories, including managing inventory across all its locations and ensuring every SKU was stocked at all times to support ad-hoc member purchases, created operational challenges. Ultimate Performance needed more than just additional capacity – it required a highly capable fulfilment partner with the expertise to handle controlled inventory, maintain batch traceability and deliver fast and accurate international distribution for a diverse product range, all while supporting a premium brand experience.

After gaining an understanding of Ultimate Performance’s challenges and operations, we implemented a tailored 3PL Flex solution, designed to support both D2C sales and gym stock replenishment across a worldwide network.

  • Controlled stock management: A fully managed inventory with batch control, stock rotation and end-to-end traceability. This ensures product integrity and compliance, particularly for supplements and other consumables.
  • Scalable multi-channel fulfilment capability: A flexible fulfilment model that supports both eCommerce orders and gym replenishment, all managed through a single solution with the ability to scale seamlessly during peak periods, such as the New Year.
  • Real-time visibility: 3PL Fusion provides live inventory tracking, order status updates and transparency for all products, including supplements, point of sale and promotional merchandise.

The implementation of our fulfilment solution enabled Ultimate Performance to unify its worldwide logistics operations and improve consistency across every touchpoint, enhancing customer experience.

  • Inventory management and stocking of 26 gyms worldwide.
  • Same day dispatch for all eCommerce orders.
  • 99%+ OTIF (On Time, In Full).
  • Increased customer satisfaction reflected in improvement in Trustpilot reviews.
  • Improved customer retention.
  • Enabled expansion of product range and bundles.

With a consistent and controlled fulfilment process now in place, Ultimate Performance can stay focused on what it does best – delivering transformational results for its clients – while its global operations run smoothly in the background.

Through its partnership with 3PL, Ultimate Performance has strengthened the operational foundation of its business, gaining the flexibility to continue developing new product ranges and expanding its global footprint.

By removing the day-to-day complexity of fulfilment, the business is free to focus on growth and delivering a premium customer experience.
