Linn Academy 2017 Reflections

Since its inception in 2013 the annual Linn Academy event has grown year on year and this year was no different. With over 600 attendees from the world of eCommerce and a high-end venue to match, the 2017 Linn Academy was its biggest and boldest yet!

As an official Linnworks partner we engaged with lots of visitors on the day and the 3PL team were highly visible in our swanky new 3PL branded hoodies! Over the years of supporting Linnworks we have built some great relationships and it was also great to meet so many new people and introduce them to the joys of Third Party Logistics and outsourced fulfilment.

The day got off to a bang with John Lawson (CEO of ColderICE Media) briefing the audience with a particular theme towards the future of eCommerce including the inevitable swing towards robotics and augmented reality. John’s style set the tone for the rest of the day with a vast array from speakers across the eCommerce sector giving an insight into what they do. With talks from companies including eBayAmazon and Paypal to name a few, the Linn Academy event was a feast for eCommerce lovers.

In between the various talks and workshops, there was a chance for attendees to browse the exhibitor stands and explore opportunities with industry professionals. The 3P Logistics stand was well manned on the day with no less than seven 3PLER`S supporting the event. With our swanky new hoodies and enough Uncle Joes Mint balls to open a sweet shop we certainly made an impact!

Ever since the event, John’s been busy on the phones talking to various people from the event and we don’t expect this to stop, sorry John! We must also take this opportunity to personally thank Linnworks for putting on such an amazing event. The Vox Centre was a great venue, with the buffet being a personal highlight!

Since the event our new business team have been busy engaging with a whole host of interested retailers considering outsourcing their fulfilment needs to 3PL in order to spend more time focussing on sourcing and selling as opposed to physical operations.

We must also take this opportunity to personally thank Linnworks for putting on such an amazing event. The Vox Centre was a great venue, with the buffet being a personal highlight!

If you didn’t have the chance to pop along to our stand, then why not have a browse of our website, have a read about how outsourcing to 3P Logistics can help support the growth of your business.
