As a creative disruptive thinker with an eye for a headline you’ll spot the opportunity to showcase thought leadership and the value we bring. Working in conjunction with the existing sales & marketing team and external partners you will devise and execute inbound lead generation campaigns, linked to target personas and pre scripted assets. This will include giving consideration to the sales funnel, and how we attract, engage and delight prospective new customers.

Measurement of results and ongoing refinement of campaigns is also a key area of focus. You will endeavour to ensure that each piece of content published is thought provoking in building an inspirational content strategy that amplifies our brand, increases engagement, and accelerates external interest in our business. You will have a passion for developing and implementing innovative impactful material across a variety of platforms through various forms of media.

Responsibilities and Duties

The role is varied, and the below duties are not exhaustive.

  • Create and maintain an inbound marketing plan, based on agreed target personas and sectors, including channel recommendations, budgets and timings.
  • Deliver target number of marketing qualified leads (MQL) via a mix of marketing channels, including but not limited to, social media, SEO, website conversion, social/online advertising and email marketing at an acceptable CPA.
  • Create or commission content as identified in the plan including but not limited to, web pages, blog posts, social media posts and graphics, emails, video and banner ads in line with brand guidelines for use at the various stages of the inbound marketing funnel.
  • Initiate campaign measurement, produce results and KPI reports, analyse successes and failures, and uphold a process of continual improvement.
  • Build seamless relationships with the sales & marketing team to increase chances of successful campaigns, sharing insights and information, making sure activities are aligned and winning trust.
  • Support the set up and use of a marketing CRM to help manage campaigns, give a single customer view and report on performance.
  • Scope the digitised customer journey through the website and input into creation of chatbot and other modern day practices including A.I.
  • Conduct ongoing market research for both target personas and our sector.

Person Specification – Essential

  • Experience of creating inbound marketing campaigns within B2B professional services
  • Track record of successful lead generation campaigns through digital channels
  • Experience of gaining positive buy-in from sales teams
  • Experience in implementing on and off-site SEO personally, including technical and content improvements, producing keyword research and improving search engine rankings
  • Experience in managing Sponsored LinkedIn campaigns including creating audience segments and targeted propositions
  • Previous responsibility for improving website conversion rates from visit to enquiry through design, UX and content techniques
  • Experience in liaising with media owners/publishers to assess and negotiate advertising packages
  • Experienced in developing creative content personally or with in-house or external creatives. Includes ability to come up with informative or entertaining content ideas
  • Good working knowledge of email platforms eg Mailchimp, and experienced in producing and improving email campaigns through data selection, subject lines, promotions, visual presentation and content relevance
  • Ability to manage budgets and calculate ROI

Person Specification – Desirable

  • Ecommerce and fulfilment sector knowledge
  • Industry knowledge of the consulting or IT/change management industry
  • Experience of working with AI tools to improve efficiency such as ChatGPT, Bard or Midjourney
  • Working knowledge of websites built in Craft
  • Experience in setting up or rolling out CRM i.e. HubSpot
  • Experience in using marketing automation tools to build customer journeys

Qualifications.

  • Marketing or related degree
  • CIM or IDM diploma
