Job Insight

Reporting into the FCM you will be working alongside your warehouse colleagues you will lead by example in the core areas of quality and efficiency of work. A real team player you will support the Warehouse Manager in helping to meet daily shift targets. As a Stock Supervisor, you will be instrumental in rolling up your sleeves and supporting your shift management team in order to keep the warehouse operations running productively and in doing so provide our customers with the very best service. You will enjoy working on a variety of tasks, often having to use your own initiative. As a Stock Supervisor, you will have a degree of in-built leadership qualities and be familiar with a fast-moving environment whilst a healthy ambition to develop and progress in your career is a given.

Role specific skills (stock):

  • Cycle counting and PI counting.
  • Updating bar codes, weight and dimensions of products
  • Frequent stock consolidation and movement.
  • Warehouse configuration and relays.
  • Stock occupancy analysis.
  • Audits – cyclical and periodic
  • Investigations and root cause analysis of stock variances
  • Developing and implementing new practices to ensure accurate warehouse stock levels, including reviewing the location system and stock rotation practices.
  • Helping to drive stock accuracy and integrity with a ‘Shop Floor’ presence
  • Solving mislocated stock / stock queries promptly and accurately
  • Frequent stock consolidation and movement
  • System maintenance of WMS
  • Ensuring WMS (Warehouse Management System) and physical locations are kept accurate
  • Investigations and root cause analysis of stock variances
  • Performing other warehousing duties as required for the effective operation of the function and department including inbound, pick, pack and outbound activities.

Role specific skills (logistics admin):

  • Managing all vendor requirements including carrier and customer requirements.
  • Assisting in forecasting
  • Reporting on critical control points within the operation.
  • Ensure all exceptions are managed during the shift and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Oversee compliance of Vendor led orders
  • Support internal zero tolerance check audits linked to quality
  • Provide a range of operational admin support as required.

General skills:

  • Lead by example and be a “best in class” operator in your respective department.
  • Undertake training as required by the business demands
  • Be the first point of contact of any day to day issues with workflow
  • Monitor, report and enforce all H&S standards.
  • SOP validation checks to ensure colleagues are adhering to documented processes
  • Acting as a Champion to drive the reporting of unsafe acts and unsafe conditions
  • Develop and deliver effective working knowledge of complete throughput of stock.
  • Train and guide your work colleagues in completing their everyday tasks
  • Conduct quality checks
  • Liaise with and provide regular updates to Shift Supervision
  • Deputise in the absence of Shift Supervision
  • Undertake various warehouse duties as required by the business.
  • Maintain high standards of site housekeeping in all areas of the Warehouse
  • Complete a controlled departmental handover to your opposite number.
